Hope you find something nice Panda Bit hot for trying on dresses - you might need to find somewhere to sit down with something long and cool (in a glass - not a dress )
BL - meant to say earlier - hope all goes well with the garden tomorrow.
32C in the potting shed earlier (doors and windows open) - phew. Have shifted 2 half bins (large) of compost and consolidated 2 dumpy bags of leaves & grass cuttings. Am cream crackered. Time for lunch and a drink - have a bit of a headache - probably a bit dehydrated
Pile of shredding to do - would that be a bit anti social on such a lovely day?
Heaven is ... sitting in the garden with a G&T and a cat while watching the sun go down
Hi TB I'm holding down a garden seat in the shade having a long cold drink, it's a tough job but someone has to do it Washing GH and planting peas will have to happen tomorrow.
How exciting ( and exhausting) Panda. When you try the right one you just know?
Loved your tree pics this morning Pat. Hope hubby doesn't expect you to lug all the logs he cuts?. The awful fires in Canada made me think of you and the risks your hubby takes.
Hope you had a good walk Fairy. It's pretty windy here so I hope you kept on your feet and that you have a reasonably tidy house to come home to.?
Wonky, Flatters might be put off by crisis-crossed sticks over the sweet peas.
Linda I hope the knee has stood up to weeding. Keep it clean. No I didn't expect risqué jokes?.
Lizzie - best of luck for your open day. Your garden looks absolutely gorgeous and there's nothing else you could have done to make it any better. It's a dream?
Have been searching garage for the extension cable for lawnmower - in the end I phoned him at work - he says he'll find it and mow the grass tomorrow
Hosta, have a lovely laksa glad the knee's improving BL I'm sure tomorrow will be fabulous
Wonky, I always had the sneaky suspicion that I was being taken advantage of by one or two of those young men none of whom seemed to have parents with cars
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
Have been sorting out the garage......where does all the c**p come from
My OH always seemed to be the only parent with a car in the evenings/weekends too. Was always taxi service to and from football practice clubs, golf, nightclubs etc etc. But at least we knew our boys were safe i suppose.
Off for a cuppa.......and maybe a slice of cake........think I've earnt it.
Now I can see the last severalposts. As usual it's after midnight, so trying to catch up. Have been watching the Giro bike race. And a summary of Eurovision over the years with Graham Norton and a lady who always repeats in French - can never remember her name.
Lesley, re the firewood, yes Hubby chain saws the branches and I pack them into the trailer. HRH tries her best to walk back and forth with me and usually manages to get under my feed.
We've been watching the Canadian fires for a few days, and I agree that it's horrific. There's not much they can do when it's that wild, those conifers are like giant candles when they get started. I can't imagine where all those people are going to go. I think the whole town is gone from what I've seen on TV.
Anyway, I'm grateful that I've worked out a method of reading back now, and have been enjoying your various newsy bits. I'm off to bed now. Catch you tomorrow.
