I'm opening my garden with the same scheme as DD. Mine is open on the 8th May, I'll never be ready. Saw my friend in the village who is opening on the 8th with me (her choice of date) and her garden is looking very good. Not only will I not be ready, but nothing will be out - it's too early.
Spent the afternoon in the veg garden, just coming round. Where did all that bind weed come from in the sweet pea and cutting garden bit? It wasn't there last year.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
This year perennial sweet peas have gone mad and invaded the lawn - I suppose they'll disappear when I mow regularly, but I think I'll be waging war on the ones in the borders too, or they'll take over the garden. They're very pretty though. I just wish they'd stay where I put them...
Bought 3 clematis for £1.77 each at Morrisons. They're small but healthy, so I've repotted them and will give them TLC over the summer. Not sure where I'll be planting them yet but maybe some gaps will appear by the time I need to put them out.
Harebells, Fairy - lovely!
Since 2019 I've lived in east Clare, in the west of Ireland.
Perfect use for a dining table at this time of year Dove
Lizzie - people like seeing gardens at different times of year, so don't worry that yours is too early....it will be a different picture for any repeat visitors you have. And next year you can go slightly later again. I think both you and DD are very brave.
Great colour Pat.
No frost here today - means my dressing gown and slippers have got soaked with dew on this morning's GH run

I've now moved things to the cold frame Dove so work surface is clear.
Sharp frost here. I moved the brugmansias into the unheated greenhouse yesterday. I hope it hasn't knocked them back..
