GWRS Congratulations to your niece! What will she be doing? I hope the museum treat her well!

I am now terribly late for work. Time to see how the travel sickness is today! If anyone in Sheffield sees a tiny white van suddenly pull up on the side of the road... sorry!!

    Hello all!

Clari, hope your symptoms ease soon.  It must be really hard dealing with crowds of hyperactive Scouts when you're feeling lousy.  (Re allergies:  I used to help organise exchange visits between OH's youth choir and foreign ones, using homestays - we sent details of allergies in advance, & asked for the same when the foreign choirs visited.  The French girls provided a list as long as your arm; the Czech choir, none at all.  We thought they'd forgotten, but no - no allergies.  Most of the kids from the Czech choir were from farming families so I guess they'd all built up immunities from their "peck of dirt".  And there was no spare money to be picky about what they ate.  Not sure if things are different now they've become more "Westernised"...  image)

It's going to be wet again, according to the forecast.  Should I use my bus pass & go to Halifax to buy clothes?  I've been putting it off because, being a non-standard size, I have to alter almost everything I buy.  But I'm beginning to look like a bag lady...  image

    Have a happy day!

Since 2019 I've lived in east Clare, in the west of Ireland.

Morning all. We are going to Norwich today. We were going on Monday, but are expecting deliveries, which we now know aren't coming today. Something that is coming is a garden table and chair set from B & Q, which I am looking forward to, but we have to wait until they contact us the day before. Ikea was much more efficient, they tell you the delivery day when you order and then contact you to tell you what time, same with M & S. Fire extinguisher people have now said tomorrow.

Just had a chat with Wonky - sounds like proper 'flu .... she's at work but is going to try not to do anything strenuous - her Lovely Hub is at home in bed - he's much worse than she is 'cos of his SC. image  They're supposed to be coming to us for Sunday lunch ... but we'll see how they are tomorrow ... don't want their germs and also they'll need their rest.

    Morning all.

Cold and wet, typical, I have so much to do.

Order arrived from Crocus yesterday, as usual the packaging was like trying to get into Fort Knox, but great quality plants.

How can you lie there and think of England

    Morning all.

    Lyn, xxx

Opera last night was wonderful. Had a great night and lovely to see our friends too.

Home now , having a cuppa and deciding what to do with the day.

    Option 1: go to bed.

Option 2: take penstemon cuttings in polytunnel.

Option 3 : go out into the freezing wind and do a bit of planting.

Mehinks 3 is a non starter.

Re crocus. One of the wholesale growers I use supplies stuff to them. Stuff I buy for about £2.50 ( I'm sure crocus get discount ) I see them retailing for about £8- £10.

    Nuff said.

    Devon.
