That's good news GD2! I'll keep my fingers crossed for you. The sun came out image and then went back in againimage  I have a feeling that is it for today........... pleased your butts are full, I haven't been short of water since last Autumn as I only seem to need it for the pots, rain does the rest!

Rained this morning, sunny this afternoon and warm, redditch

  • It seems that we are in for more rain tomorrow - I can cope with one day of rain every now and then - just to catch up on chores a paperwork - but on the second day I am itching to get out and do something in the garden - I am sure you all feel the same - water butts only get used for pots, tubs and troughs but I have a lot of them! I swear my arms have stretched with all that watering can lifting so they have had a rest today!

Aparently, we are in for a "Stawberry" moon tonight.

That's good to know Nanny but I can hardly see the sun, the moon is a forgotten celestial object. I did check but all I can see is a blanket of cloud. I was around for the last one apparently, must have had other things on my mind 'cos I don't remember that one, reckon I've missed that opportunity now.

Just hoping for a good sunrise tomorrow (sorry, today) and that it stays for more than half an hour.

Hello from Ontario, Canada.  Please send us some of your rain !!  It has been weeks since we have had any and we also have temperatures in the 30c range.  My poor veggie garden is dying of thirst, I am in a rural area and we rely on our well for water, so cannot splash it around too freely.  We have just had dark clouds pass over and rumbling but now the sun is out again.  Probably will be nice and clear to see the moon tonight.
