We had a much better day in SW France. Started cool and grey but by end of morning the sun came out and it got up to 21°. Wonder if it's the end of the rain?

Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.

Lovely day here but had to have several breaks as was getting too hot while working in the garden.  More please!

  • Misty this morning, so no sunshine. Hot afternoon as the mist lifted to leave us with very hot sunshine - about 20+ degrees. Do hope the cruise ship passengers were able to enjoy their day here too.

Not a single sniff of the great outdoors today other than going to work on the 7am train and back again by 9.30 pm.  Lunch was a Twix! Shameful!

Sunny start for the first time since we got back from Chelsea.  Not set to last though.  More storms forecast for later on and it is very humid.

Birds happy though - lots of chattering and chuntering and nagging and singing going on so there must be fledglings about, learning to feed and fly.

Vendée - 20kms from Atlantic coast.
