How hot do people call hot in the UK? Shade temperatures I mean.

It is 25° here in Dordogne now. What I call a nice summer's day - at last, it's been so wet here. I've been gardening. How hot is too hot for your liking? Here, I don't like it over 30°.

Hailing the size of marbles, completely wrecked our wisteri. Going to be a big clean up tomorrow.

  • No hailing here either Firecracker - poor you - in fact a warm, calm day here but with sea fog between the sunbursts. Some rain at night would be welcome as the water butts are almost dry.

Very very hot this morning, then the rumbling started and we had a thunderstorm for about an hour with torrential rain. This however eased to gentle rain for another hour.  Unbelievable for the gardenimage

it's been hot today in the south east, then muggy waiting for the storm, then the loudest ever thunderstorm and a serious downpour, flooding the roads temporarily, poor dog was petrified he wouldn't even eat his apple image

Our canine equivalent of a thug follows me everywhere in a thunderstorm. She always hears it about 10 seconds before it hits,  amazing! Soon as it's over she is back to her independant waysimage

Wall to wall sunshine all day here in North Dorset. Very hot and humid this afternoon, pleasant evening now still have sunshine but with a very pleasant breeze.
