My weather - like the stuff on TV - is absolute rubbish. I've been nipping out between the downpours to move plants and there are slugs and snails everywhere.  If the sun does come out any time soon everything is going to be incredibly tall and lush albeit full of holes.

  • Flash floods here for the third time in a week.

Husband mighty fed up to be one soggy motorcyclist yet again.

Serious downpour this morning and looks like more to come for at least a day or so.

All very well but that means I'm on h*******k duty as I can't do anything outside.

  • Still raining here in North Birmingham. I've had to put the heating on to try to dry the laundry.

I think it's my fault. Last week I was watering the garden and thought to myself " I wish it would rain and give the garden a good soak".image

I've spent 2 hours clearing blocked storm drains.

The pair of overflow pipes in the lake, which were about 25cm above the water line at the weekend have now become one great big hole  as water pours into them. Loud enough to be heard at the house.

I get the message. I'll use a leather strap with rusty nails stuck on.
