Must try to get to Lidl, we have a home bargains practically nextdoor to Lidl.

Good luck with the tidy up garden girl. I'm something of a lazy allotmenteer. All paths covered with bark and at least half the plot with muck and plastic.

Plan this year is to cover as much ground with edibles or flowers it's not only productive but smuthers weeds....

    I've been preparing beds.

I wanted to sow more stuff in the ground so have made some smaller beds, two are ready. The plan is to sow some stuff in nursery beds and as other beds become free replant stuff. I've sown broad beans outside, the ones in the GH have germinated much to my surprise, corn flowers and sweet pea.

First time I've sown in the ground, so looking forward to seeing the results. Does anyone else sow straight in the ground, any words of advise would be welcomed.

Has anyone started off their dahlias yet, mine are mixed there are some dwarf varieties but they've been stored together, would you think the smaller tubers are dwarf ones....

Zoomer , Dalias I leave in ground so can’t help . With seeds , broad bean , beetroot , carrot, turnips , swedes  , celeriac , Kale , spinach straight into the beds
Swedes never seem to do well so not bothering this year
Last years grew carrots where seeds are on tape and very successful so will do again plus going to try beetroot tape this year
Cabbages , cauliflower , usually buy the plants
Bought broccoli 🥦 seeds which I will start of in g/h

sown some broad beans in peat pots trying out, went to plot done more digging today even getting wet as was raining a few times, bit not dug before so found bits of rubbish and now have another golf ball
Zoomer I have sown things direct in soil before they do well just make sure you remove the weeds well and keep an eye out for the seedlings - my dahlias in the ground still
