Tool Sharpening  would be great , when I first moved hear 25 years a old chap used to come around each year in a battered old van and do sharpening

Allotment shears are a bit blunt , tried using a file not very good image

    Pictures

The brambles were coming right over the plot so done some cutting back, don't mind having some as using as a screen and they tasted good too

Here is the tyre planter, I spoke to the site rep and he said it will be ok - yeah to plant it so I may well keep it on plot or if not have in garden - got to clean it up yet

When we looked at the plot on Saturday after a bit noticed my pallet piles was a mess small pallets on floor and half pile of pallets missing - so image don't know who has took it - told the lot in the shop

I have had to make and laminate a few signs for my plot to stop people taking my wood and also gone and got paint just need to mark my stuff   - that was from Monday to Saturday there one time then not

Gardengirl , missing Palletts very annoying , don't known what go surgest ! Could paint name on but that very time consuming and probably won't stop them being stolen !

Plot looking good , lots of bramble image

Gardengirl, wow, great job dealing with all those brambles! I really like the cloche, too. It's really annoying with the pallets!

I finished digging in the grazing rye and dug out some more horrible perennial weeds from another patch. I hope I'll finish clearing the plot this spring.

I sowed some grass on a future path about two weeks ago, it still hasn't germinated. I guess I should water it.

I went to RHS Wisley yesterday, they had a Spring Plant Fair. Very nice, and I found a stand with exotic plants and wanted to get some for my patio, but the vendors wouldn't take cards and I had no cash on me. There's no cashpoint around there for miles, but the gift shop does cashback, so I went there and back again (it's a long way and I was very tired). I was so excited when I chose my three plants! I complimented the vendors on their stand, questioned them about minute details of care of my precious plants, and then I took the bag with the plants and made to leave, when the vendor said "That'll be 15 pounds." imageimageimage I handed over the money and apologised profusely, said how tired I was, and that I'd never ever ever try not to pay and the vendor was very polite, but I have no idea whether he believed me or not. Oh well. I hope that by the time the plants grow nice and big I'll have forgotten the episode. (More likely I'll recall it every time I look at them!)
