Thanks Garden Girl - I will hold off chopping them down for the next few weeks.

Managed to get my maincrop seed potatoes and onion sets so stored them in the garage.

I envy you plot holders that can put up sheds etc.  We are not allowed any constructions at all - only fruit frames. I suppose it keeps the place looking tidy.

    GWRS -

I think the reason for not allowing sheds (and livestock) is that it I live in a village and they want to keep it looking tidy.  Most of us live within a reasonable walking distance so take our large equipment with us or leave it on our plots.  Forks, spades, hoes and such like can be left on our plots.  We are also allowed compost bins and water butts.  We have a shared lawn mower to keep the paths tidy.

Think I'd be lost without my shed too, it has loads of stuff in, tools pots, There's even a gas bar-b-que...?

I like the idea of a shared lawn mower.

Been to the plot, laid a path by the shed, covered another bed and started the prep for GH. Really productive day.

    Hello all

Forestedge are you allowed green houses?, I would dig deep in ground and buy a storage unit and put it in the hole store tools in that then you would not see anything that is not pretty

I have not got a shed just yet (still building it) so have to take tools back and foward to the allotment plot with help so car full of bits

Lots been going on today at the allotment busy lot you are

Done some more digging in the new area quite a bit done lots of roots now in GW bin was a nice sunny day and even got warm felt like spring

    Found this little glass pot

Garden Girl - that looks like a pot that fish paste came in with a metal lid.  Someone must have made themselves a sandwich to munch in between gardening.

We are not allowed greenhouses either.  One plot holder asked permission to have one of those little plastic mini greenhouses and after a Parish meeting they finally agreed, but the plot holder never bothered as they had to wait so long for the decision.

How lovely to see bullfinches - such pretty birds.
