Wow, we haven't had it to bad in my part of Lancashire, GWRS, this year, but on the Lancashire/Yorkshire border one of the motorway's closed with cars still on it one evening, they were stranded for several hours.
I live nearer Cumbria and the Lakes, the views of the mountains are fabulous when it snows.
thanks for that scroggin, I've struggled to know which were weeds and which were seedlings, I once sowed parsnips and must have weeded them out as not one grew...:)
I plan to put the first of my spuds in at Easter. I've bought far to many so nothing to lose if some get caught with a late frost, hopefully by Easter it will just be ground frost and anything Covered will be OK.
Had to stop email notifications as Hello forkers too much filled emails to quick Went to the allotment dug up the gladioli bulbs as in the wrong place some squishy some ok will dry out a bit Done a bit more digging day before and a bit of edging found another golf ball and rubbish and weeds - went to tip with the weeds and rubbish Looks like snow on Saturday
Gg I think I'm getting notifications each time someone posts on every site I've posted on...
Still on a mission to sow outdoors and plant out earlier than usual I've gone through seeds and have selected some which can be sown in an unheated GH.
GWRS just looked at notifications maybe you have the bookmarked notification ticked and not bookmarked all the threads, that I think is where I have gone wrong maybe I will take off the Forkers thread from bookmarks
Went to B&Q yesterday and picked up the new outdoor collections catalogue and in there they are ... they are going to sell kitchen garden beds which are posh pallet collars but they have a good range of extra to go with them
I'm still getting used to getting round the site GWRS.
Sowed some hardy annuals, lettuce and kale this evening, will take them to the plot at the weekend, I noticed last week weeds were beginning to germinate in the GH in a couple of pots, if it's warm enough for weeds, then hardy seeds should also germinate in the GH. Pallet collars are fabulous, I have four.
