Hello scroggin we have had rain I was up allotment digging for a bit then rain but still carry on digging so now should have enough room for 2 planks along edge of plot - nearly half path dug up de weeded and rubbish removed - some of ground like concrete so hard and ouch on shoulder found a large boulder underground

Scroggin good idea to use plastic cups, I did that last year with the take away cups did not realise that they has plastic inside them and planted straight out in ground thinking they would bio-degrade

GWRS what do chick peas do what do you put them up? do they climb and cling on like peas? help please thanks

Scroggin your shed sounds good, my shed on hold for now till I get some other bits done on plot, Have had more ideas for shed porch area

Someone was waving a tool at the ground to dig it on another plot, nice and quiet at plot with rain not many plot holders around, did get to watch the blue tit going in and out of house

Also have to sort out the picnic bench area for where it will go - just got a brolly and stand from Homebase using some discount vouchers I had -  still got the bench in the box from last year never got that far

Done a bit more digging at plot and brought some cheap turf from homebase £2 a roll instead of £4 as end of the delivery of turf

Hi all, been off work for a week so not looked at messages, sounds like you've all been very busy. Still decorating indoors but managed a good few hours at the plot. Found some more pallet collars so made 2 raised beds inside the polytunnel and planted my tomatoes in them. Sowed beetroot, carrots, spring onions and broad beans in the others. GG I have 4 big dug over beds that I rotate, thanks for the tip re polytunel tape, I will look online for it.image

Peas seem to be taking forever to germinate this year, feel like I am behind!!image think I'm going to get a bumper harvest of soft fruit though so next job is netting them.
