GWRS I plan to go to plot tomorrow too

Got an email yesterday not really helpful, I sent this  --   I was just wondering how we are informed about the result of the inspection for uncultivated plots.  Do we get a letter with detailed information?

I look forward to hearing from you.

Council lady sent this  -- You will only hear from me if I still have any concerns about your plot. Lou or Eric can also give you feedback.

    they are the site reps

Went to Bitterne Allotment today for plant sale got some little gem lettuce which can go into raised bed in garden - so here are some pics for you all to see

Hello Allotment Lady  where abouts are you?  tell us about your allotment

My allotment site is called Weston allotment in Hampshire just into my second year and getting lots of digging done but not today as wet

I really thought I would have a better reply as it has been a stress ful time waiting going to try talk to site reps tomorrow see if they know any info about my plot, would be good if they let you know what they will do after the inspection on the uncultivated/ overgrown letter - even a yes you still have you plot would of been nice on the email

Just leaves every one who got a letter trying to get their plot better up to the inspection date lots of worry then no letter to say you are ok or much better or need to inprove, move this, do that

  • I live in York and have a half (more like three quarters) sized plot. There's only me and OH so perfect for us. I have 6 sax gooseberry plants, 2 blackcurrants and more raspberries than I can shake a stick at (or remove runners!) I have a little shed and a huuuuuuge pile of manure and some composting bins, occassionally my puppy also comes to help me dig-she is very good at that part.

We had a slow start this year, my brassicas don't seem to have liked the cold wet start to the year so thankfully I have back ups, I will post some pictures when I manage to get down there - hopefully this evening if the rain holds.

Your plot doesn't look overgrown at all garden girl, so why are you so worried? I have read back a little but can't seem to find the beginning of your explanation- apologies.

Allotment lady - I got the letter and plot was looking overgrown as had not done much for a bit, my plot is 8.5 rods with no shed yet as wanting to build my own with pallets

Here is some pictures of my plot I am starting digging other side of pallet piles

This is the plot to start with in April

  • That is an amazing plot compared to one of my neighbours! There are always times in the year and our lives where they get a little neglected, but we always go back and clear up. I ignored mine for almost 3 months last year when I got a new puppy. Back to normal now though.

I spent the afternoon digging up borage that had self seeded all over the place today and starting muttering under my breath. Ah well, all clear now.

I hope you are enjoying it!

Yep am enjoying it nice to go there and with free spuds still to plant from the allotment shop it helps me dig more of the plot, I think this plot has got the furthest it has ever been as it has had 3 people in the past with all giving up and not getting anywhere

someone said the last person dug a small bit had bonfires, young teenager who wanted to go home all the time, me I took this plot on as a challenge and liked the size better to one other offered - took me a while to decide and wait for another plot as was not sure but preferred this one when I saw the other even if that one had a shed

Think the letter has made me do loads which is great cos now have space to plant things, there were lots of humps up and down with lots of rubbish, brambles - nettles (which painful when sting) on the plot as this area of the site was once years ago used as a dumping ground - we found crisp packets back to 2000 I like to look for the best before date

Borage I had one self seeded from some where last year on the allotment which was nice looks like none this year you can eat the flowers
