  • I got the trees in. they look closer than they are in the pictures, each tree is 4m from another and they are 2m from the fence. Cherry tree in the back garden  bit it looks like a stick tied to a post surrounded by hosepipe and patchy lawn.

  • I've cleared the weeds from another section and am giving this no dig thingie a go on the potatoes.  I also dug round the borders to clearly define the patch and I think I can go another 3ft width ways if I need to, but looking at what I've used and what needs to go in I doubt I'll need it.  So tired, legs hurt.

Hi all just been catching up a few days worth, hello to new people and good luck on the waiting list

Ginagibbs your plot looks so amazing, with the polytunnel question I brought gh clear weather proofing  tape 20m from Hilliers and have taped up my plastic walk in gh does ok holding up

Ginagibbs what number of beds for veg and do you rotate them all round

I went to plot yesterday done a bit of digging watched the bird house both blue tits went in at same -ish time then one out again, afternoon at Hilliers for cake and got some plants for garden in sale at £1 each

I have a bird that has moved into the carvan in the garden it is a great tit so that is brilliant

Leanincurve great pics nicley layed out trees

With the strimmer think they are sending a bit out and we have to fix it - tricky, also push mower not working really makes a noisey noise when trying to push near the wheel,  it made it more like a roller not sure what is wrong with it

  • If you want an amusing thought then tomorrow I will be constructing a cloche out of bamboo sticks and an actual fleece blanket to go over my poly tunnels in the back garden. The blanket has a big wolf howling at the moon on it and is known as the wolf blanket. My neighbours are going to think me insane.

Bought  passion climber to go up an Oberlix at allotment

  • I like being this close to the allotment, desperately need to get the onions in before the weather turns and that has meant yet another two hours of digging out the layer of weeds and grass to get the space for them. Wheelbarrow dropped off at home, everything I need being taken back to the allotment, after this cup of tea of course.
