Gg, if you sow now it will either catch up or you get a later harvest. Now is a better time to sow, everything is warming up.

I haven't sown cues, squash, pumpkin, courgettes or sweetcorn yet. Plan is to sow these in a couple off weeks, just before I go on my jolliesimage

Thanks for the tip, think I'll use the planter to plant out other stuff image

    Thanks Zoomer44

Went to the allotment yesterday, done more digging have nearly finished off area for shed

Also went to the allotment shop asked about the potatoes to site rep Eric what they do with them as they will chuck out soon just prob dump them

so asked about if I could have some free then of rocket as no one seems to have brought them he said come on then and bagged me up some - I have 16 of them which is great - they have been in the back bucket so chitting strangely and with roots grown

Going to sow a lot of seeds direct this year and today going to sow runner, beans, french beans, sweetcorn, cucumbers, cucumelon, white cucumber and courgette and may be some sunflowers

Hello all, I'm still around! Just not posting much.

I finally got to the allotment on Saturday and found that wood pigeons had stripped my plum tree of all blossom and about two thirds of leaves! B---s. Apparently plum blossom is irresistible to them and my plum isn't the only one they targeted - a neighbour of mine told me she'd seen them doing the same to her plum trees. That's it, next year I'm building a cage around that tree. And it's a reminder to net everything I plant.

At least I applied the nematodes on Sunday, phew. Now I'll be able to sow and plant.

    Scrggin. Have a nice holiday.

I'm going away in a couple of weeks. The guy on neighbouring plot is going to water my plants in GH.

Didn't know pigeons liked plum blossom. Mine isn't in flower yet but both Cherry trees are almost flowering.

    Hi, GWRS.

It was a wet weekend here so used my allotment time potting up in the GH.

Scroggins , have a nice time in Snowdan , when we lived in Nuneaton we went to North Wales a lot as it was just up A5

Didn't realise pigeons like Plum blossom , you live and learn

All this nice weather coming looks like I am going to busy when I get home next week

G/W have revamped the furom , wondered what was happening when I opened up

I trust you are all keeping well and busy image

Hi you guy's, if you want to continue to get e-mails notifications for favourite threads me thinks you need to click on the 'follow' icon at the top of the thread. image

I only see an Unfollow icon and I'm still not getting notifications. (I've spent far too much time on the various feedback threads, time that could've been used to sow seeds and such. But it's like watching a train wreck.)

Anyway, I assembled my storage bench yesterday and I think it looks great. It was a wonderful warm sunny day, perfect for gardening.
