Hello , Gardengirl hope injuries get better , looking forward to picture of pallet shed when finished

Been up to plot this afternoon , cleaned a couple of beds ready for planting , hopefully this weekend

Lit fire in fire dustbin and left smoking , no body there , won't light fire if people working close by , not fare in my opion !

Took picture of sun flower for another thread but hear it is image

Blueberry bushes have finally started to grow this year , hope might get some berries next year

Hope all well with everybody image

Bought bunting and flags for pence after Englands flop at the Euros , won't survive the winter but I thought why not

Got some more sun flowers but that's the biggest

    Have a good day image

Hope your injuries get better GG! We are not allowed bonfires during summer months here.

I use an arch like yours GWRS to train some apple trees over. Still short at the moment though.

Getting lots of squash, I have 2 beds and one is doing much better than the other, not sure why.

Ginagibbs , is it ones in the shade , just a guess

Last year found that to be problem with courgettes

I made a mistake with apple trees , planted some Juresulm Artichoke as a wind brake at side of them and they have taken over , so need to get rid of them ASAP

Hoping to go to plot at weekend , dig up potatoes , as well as attacking Artichokes

Apple tree over arch sounds good , we planted climbing roses

Hope alls well with you image

Hi GWRS, alls well thanks. Courgettes that are not doing that well are in the bed where I had spuds. Had to take spuds out pronto as we had blight. Dug it over and added horse muck but its been quite dry although I have watered them. They did look a bit better yesterday, it might be that they need to settle in? Had a good crop off the other bed though.

I have jerusalem artichokes too, quite like the flowers and the taste of the roots but take forever to peel!image

Ginagibbs , Jerusalem artichokes , o/h scrubs them ( obviously cuts any bad bits off  ) and roasts them like roast potatoes , much easier than peeling image

Gardengirl good look for the show , are you using bark clippings for paths ?

Been up this morning , pulled up some newly planted French beans that had been eaten

o/h weeded leek bed again , will not use clover as green manure again , just keeps growing !!and planted some turnip & spring onion seeds

I dug a bed and a few bits and pieces , pleasing morning

It was a bit overcast but warm , glorious sun shine now

Looking forward to seeing picture of pallet shed , recorded TV programme about sheds

    best wishes everybody image
