Gg, let us know how you get on at next weeks show.

I had a productive time on the plot today, got lots of jobs done.

I've been clearing spent flowers. Any suggestions as to what to sow to fill gaps, I was thinking lettuce and radish.

Moved leeks from a nursery bed to main winter bed. Ever so pleased with spud crop.

    Didn't rain until 3ish...,?

Hello  , couldn't get on site yesterday

Show was good on Saturday but it rained heavy the night before so it was a bit muddy and rained again Saturday night

Can't believe how show has grown , it in its 150th this year

Some amazing veg , leeks and carrots ? to name a few

Gardengirl , good luck with your show

O/H went to plot yesterday and Picked French beans , I had some for dinner and she pickled the rest plus a few other bits

Virtually no slugs ? or snails , I think the shredded paths make a big difference plus put fat balls to encourage birds

Off to Tenby on Tuesday and going to another Country show at Lamphey on Wednesday , unfortunately forecast at moment not good

    Hope everybody is well image

Spud crop was rubbish this year, I think we have weavils, looked like they had been burrowed into, some spuds ok but a lot have been got atimage wont plant them in the same area again just in case. Courgettes have been prolific and am giving away  rhubarb!

Good luck with your shows if entering,  image

Ginagibbs. Could be slugs in the spuds.

Been lucky here, no blight this yr and toms are romping away in GH.

Courgettes just starting to bear fruit.

Silly Question, but can currants be dried and how is it done. Was going to try jelly and jam but there's only so much jam you can make and eat...?

    GWRS. Enjoy Tenby and Lamphey

Cut an armful of flowers today.Gladioli, dahlias and sunflowers.

Wish I'd done more repeat sowing, zoomer makes a mental note to do this next yr. Beds are beginning to empty.

Spent most of my time chatting to other plot holders today. Took 8 bags of weeds to tip. Hoping to go to plot in morning.

Aldi have fruit bushes in, currants, blueberry, raspberries, grapes, cobiberry and blackberries. £1 79 each.

Have you had a good harvest of onions and shallots, scroggin. I was pleased with mine, garlic was mixed, some large bulbs some small.

I've beans, kale chillies, peppers, cougettes and toms harvesting well at present.

Was going to sow some kale for winter pickings. Is it too late to sow biennials for  next year?
