    Scroggins , the biscuit cake sounds rather nice ? 

    Been to plot this afternoon , getting bits ready for second hand fruit cage 

    Both going up there Tommrow , o/h to sort out shallots to bring home  and finish drying in plastic g/h 

    I am sure there will be some courgettes for picking !

    Broad beans didn't do very well this year

    Went to allotment yesterday. O/h sorted shallots and I pruned plum tree ? 

    Picked 3 outdoor cucumbers and 5 broad beans , I thinks that's it , chap on next plot took pity and offered me some runner beans as mine only just flowering 

    Also made anchors for fruit cage posts 

    Picked 2 fig to eat 

    Didn't spend to long there as going to Dinner at local pub with friends

    Hey all the judge was at the allotment yesterday - weather was spitting a bit we sat in car, so judge wandered around plot with others then went off to other plots - wont know what place we are out of the 23 people that entered their plots untill they open the envelope at show 5th Aug

    Friday finished strimming plot and hoed a bit and Sat just made sure some plants were stood up

    Today small bit of digging till weather set in

    Still more digging to go - going to get back to finishing path off plot now judge has been

    Had some runners and a beetroot yesterday for dinner from another plot near by tasted nice

    Been to plot today took some mesh fence and planted lots of watermelons up it - will see how they do

    Have harvested lots of blackberrys and a big patty pan squash trying to figure out what to do with it maybe for tomorrow nights tea

    Hello all , had a good day at plot , lots of little jobs done , was a bit windy at times 

    Managed to burn all the pruning and other rubbish , got home about 5-30 and it started raining at 6-00

    so very lucky 

    Out door cucumbers gone into over drive , picked 6 big ones and more coming !

    Going to Tenby next Tuesday for a week , no doubt the weeds are waiting to spring up while we are away 

    O/H made a courgette cake today , have to say it was rather good , considering never made one before

    Hello GWRS sounds a great day up your way at allotment and with weather, Courgette cake I made nice small ones (cupcake size) last week and have some in the freezer as it said you can freeze them

    We went to Loseley garden show in Guildford - Surrey,  after a few hours it started raining then got worse for a while, trying to walk around had to shelter a bit, got to look around the garden to the big house nice lot of flowers planted there

    Got a few plants after a bit so bits to plant in the garden

    Gardengirl , sorry to hear it rained , we are going to Heckington Country Show Tommrow , went there a long time ago and it has grown , fingers ?about weather ☀️

    It's forecast rain here tomorrow. Hope the weather stays fine  for you GWRS. 

    Picked my first toms today. I've loads of chillies, some are beginning to turn red. 

     Got lots of weeding done. Cues are abit behind only planted them up in GH this week.

    Zoomer44 good your veg turning red, Went to wyevale they had loads of chillie plants in sale with chillies on

    Yesterday went looked around plot and then entered my list for the show next weekend Sat, hard to decide - mainly went with flowers and a summer fruits cake - going to try blackberries, strawberrys and apples, Hope that my flowers will be out in time put asters in and they are not in flower yet

    Wyevale - Brought some cosmos plants in sale at £2 each, looked at some of the lovely plants beautiful blue delphinium there, got some seeds cheaper, lots of empty spaces as they are moving bits around

    Weather dryer today - tiss windy though
