    Well done GWRS.

    I got two 2nds and a 3rd, but only entered 9 classes and two of those were cakes.

    There were a lot of entries for the cake sections. Thought my lemon drizzle cake was worthy of a place, definitely robbed there...?

    Well done Zoomer , I'm sure your show was a lot more testing , lemon drizzle sounds fad ?

    Just had a piece of " family cakes " and tea in garden , that o/h made for show image

    Scroggin great picys of plot

    Been doing a lot of clearing at allotment over the last few days, planting out and all sorts still waiting on judge may be this weekend   

    weard day so hot sunny, then cloudy and then lot later thunder and lighting and lots of rain - just finished watering plot so double soak nearly flooded places and got really wet trying to do combination lock to get out of allotments

    One of the near ish neighbours got chickens 4 brown ones

    If I said to you all make a cake called "summer fruits" - what would you put in the cake?

    Gardengirl, I have never made a cake but I would put in currents , gooseberrys , rasberry , strawberry ? and what was growing , however , not sure these would bake very well image

    Hello , forgot to say had a good day at plot yesterday, another nice sunny ☀️ day , lots done 

    Dug up 2nd early potatoes ? , a reasonable size and o/h lifted the shallots to dry 

    Picked last of rasberry and currents 

    Got lots of small outdoor cucumbers coming 

    Happly digging everybody image

    Really got into Indian vegetarian cookery, great way to use up all this produce!! Was given a recipe book called Fresh India, amazing recipies?

    Garden Girl, sorry missed your post re jam have made rhubaord and blackcurrant, Strawberry and bison on Berry, gooseberry and rhubarb , gooseberry and clementine. No more jam making, although we are due to have a good Pearl harvest!!!

    Thanks GWRS - think strawberries sound nice in a cake, may try that with blackberries free from just off end of plot

    Went to plot today took strimmer to allotment, nearly there charged battery so can do more tomorrow, soil still nice and wet from storm bit other day
