Picked the first toms this morning "Tigerella". They're not fully ripe yet but the weight of the truss was pulling them down onto the soil.

I've put them in the conservatory to ripen for now. It worked last year when I had bowlfuls at the end of the season. image

Can't say I'll have the same problem this year.

Picking a bowl of toms a day, meant to be 30d the next couple of days. Watered at 7, too tired last night, took the dogs on the beach till 8, bit of deadheading, and tiding up.

  • picked  a bowl toms and some apple mint for a pan of small spuds for lunch with chicken ( cold)    bit wet to walk on garden. good thing is the bird muck I put on onion bed last week   well washed in ground  for next year  apples look good next few days dig up some more spuds that are dying back .
