    Postman brought my astrantia plugs,

That took me about 10 minutes to pot up in a soil/ compost mix, watered in and put in a warm spot.

A robin just flew off with the biggest worm ever.

    Definitely optimistic!

I've pricked out the sweetcorn, squashes and a load of other seedlings that were ready, sowed some more of the free tomato seeds, potted on some baby hellebores, cut back the ferns, removed the windbreak fabric from around the purple sprouting, spent a long time gazing into the pond, weeded the bed in the front garden, moved some heavy pots around, cut back the big sage plant and weeded the herb bed and done some other bits and pieces.

Most of the back garden's in shade now, so I've collapsed on the sofa - at least the water board's pneumatic drill is quieter in here image

  • Currently in the process of clearing a squillion stones out of one of my borders. Those wormies keep on pushing them up...
