I have just got back from an enjoyable but exhausting holiday. I just walked around my garden and thought about how much weeding needs doing then dozed the afternoon away.

Today is looking cool and damp so I'll probably carry on where I left off yesterday. I've nearly broken through to the other side of the other side of the dead trees image. I'm now left with tree stumps and many many bramble stumps so it isn't pretty but it's very nearly navigable!!!!! image

The ladder has been freed as have the weird plastic cladding sheets and various bit of rotten wood.

I found a huge stone in the undergrowth so no doubt there was some sort of structure there. Dear only knows what else I'll find.

Better do a bit of clearing up first. There's piles of dead stuff everywhere.

Everything is soaked through. I was reading yesterday about everyones' bonfires and thinking it was a great idea. Unfortunately it pours here non stop. image

I even found half burnt things under the brambles from when someone tried it before. Doesn't look as if it worked too well. image

I think I paid £12 each, I love these little "bits".  Had a pack of diddy sweet williams come, picked, blanched and froze runner and dwarf beans.  Got 3 lots of washing out, forcast was heavy showers, washing went out early, suddenly around 3 OH shouted its raining, and boy was it heavy and fast, he had to change his clothes! Few minutes later sun out again.  Got an pics PP of what you are clearing?
