Planted a family apple tree into a pot (not perfectly straight, hope that's ok...), same with trachelospermum jasminoides.

Planted some more aquilegias, astrantias (Hadspen blood), Lovely Pink (Pink Beauty) potentilla, achillea red velvet.  Potted on some echinacea.

Hosta Fire and Ice to go out tonight.

Is that blueberry flowers they are after?  Surely not fruits yet?  Mine are in flower, hadn't thought they need netting now though?

  • My last big job for a while (I hope)... dug over the grotty high bed to the side of the driveway, cut back the ivy and the hedging, and planted it up. I left a few of the geraniums already there, and the rose which until recently I didn't even see what there as the hedge was overgrown..

Quite pleased with the result though. Have planted Actaea White Pearl, Anenome sylvestris, Geranium phaeum Somobor, and to lighten it up as it's such a dark green area, some Luzula nivea grasses.

I appreciate it doensn't look much right now, but at least it's an improvement image

Joyce, I am enjoying a beer right now image At least it's a shady border, so I didn't have any sun on my back whilst I was digging!

Too cold and wet for gardening today. 13° in May in SW France, not normal. I would garden if it weren't raining though.

Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
