Yes, skies do make lovely pictures too and all to often as you say Fairygirl we forget to look up. When the evenings get a little darker we will try to get to the beach on time to take sunset pictures. In the meantime I am looking forward to seeing your next set of pictures .
That's beautiful pair of pix David. I love it when water is like glass. I wanted to take some photos yesterday en route, where the loch is acting like a mirror, but the problem is stopping as the road isn't always suitable.
This time - I have the correct hill names...unlike last week. I will get around to correcting them at some point...
Intended doing a couple of Corbetts, but due to my stupidity, I had no maps and the batteries didn't charge properly, so, only having a compass which needs a map, I decided to be sensible (for a change) and only do the first one. Meall Tairneachan.
Nice easy approach from the Foss Baryte Mine road, north of Aberfeldy. This was on the way back and the sky was quite pretty by then
Looking north - nice clouds!
Looking north east to the Beinn a Ghlo hills which I did around this time last year. Bit too hazy to get a really good shot of them unfortunately
Looking west from the summit trig to Schiehallion ( the HIll of the Fairies) - Aberfeldy's iconic Munro.
Looking southe over the little loch - nice moody sky!
The Lawers and Glen Lyon hills, just to the south of Schiehallion
Heading back along the ridge, I startled a little flock....
It's ok - we're safe!
Pano looking south. Sheep had gone safely round the little 'knoll' on the left! The Lawers, Glen Lyon hills to the right, with Schiehallion on the far right. Hmmm - is that Hosta's boulder there?
Peacock butterfly on the way back
I stopped to get a pic of Ben More and Stob Binnein (the two iconic Crianlarich Munros) on the way back along beautiful Loch Tay. The Lawers hills are on the right hand side of this road, but I couldn't get a good enough place to stop and take one of them unfortunately.
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
Not a soul in sight, just the sheep posing for the camera, - what a wonderful set of pictures yet again Fairygirl. We can't go more than a few yards here without seeing either a house, people or car apart from when we look out to sea. The views are amazing, so beautiful. Which is the nearest big town Fairy?
Lovely picture Sheps, love these close up shots and no I am not afaird of spiders, I just pick them up and put them outside if I find one in the house. I will google Aberfeldy, it looks to be a very picturesque area Fairy.
Love that spider Sheps. Did you have a job getting inside the honeysuckle with him?
It's a beautiful area GD - the whole of Perthshire is pretty stunning - at high or low level. It's where I'd like to eventually move to when I retire. Shorter drive to reach those hills too....
There are some of the loveliest glens you'll find anywhere. Glen Tilt is one of the most stunning places I've ever walked. I put some pix on last year when I did teh Munro there. You have a fair old hike to get to it, but when you have that scenery to look at, it really doesn't matter.
Pitlochry isn't too far from there as well, slightly further north and east. It's considered to be the centre of Scotland. Lovely place

Gorgeous sky GD.
I've often said that we forget to look up when we're out!
I haven't sorted today's pix yet - got some nice sky ones too.
Lovely 'paddling' pic BL

Takes my breath away David, they are wonderful pictures, the lake is so serene and yet the sky paints a different picture. Enjoy your holidays.
Next set coming up GD

Yes - had the hill to myself GD - apart from the woolly boys
The nearest to those hills is Aberfeldy - which isn't that big. Nearest big town would be Perth - about 30 or 40 miles south east of Aberfeldy.
It's just under 100 miles from where I am to those hills, but lots of little roads so it's a good 2 and a half hours drive.

Lovely shots everyone...been really liking the shots of the sky and all the beautiful landscapes, also love the owls in the Foxglove, Lesley
Here is a shot of the underside of a Garden Spider that has set up home on one of my Honeysuckle.
