Shep that is a wonderful picture. I love foxes, perhaps because we don't have them here - but even so, they are a beautiful creature that should be treated with respect.
Yesterday's jaunt to An Socach in Glen Ey, just north of Glenshee
The sheep ready for shearing at the start of the walk. Unfortunately they were penned on the track so a detour was needed along the other side of the fence, onto the bridge supports and over the handrail
View across to the Lochnagar hills (centre) from half way up the first hill, with the highest summit ( Cac Carn Beag ) looking like a little triangle. The summit end of Creag nan Ghabhar, is on the left. I posted pix of that walk earlier in the year.
View from the first top, looking south to An Socach, with some of the Glenshee hills beyond.
The phrase - 'right plant , right place' was never more appropriate. This is growing inside the cairn - at just under three thousand feet
The lochan down at the bealach between that first top and the An Socach ridge
View north west to part of the Cairngorms, from the east top
Looking back along the 'dog leg' plateau/ridge to the east top (centre) from the summit. The ridge leading back to the first top running left from there
Little rocky outcrop on the way back along the ridge
Young grouse
and a little toad
A grand day out
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
Just a couple of snaps from Wednesday's OAP jaunt, with OH, above the Burnley valley:
The pile of Millstone Grit is Orchan Rocks. Wish I had the money to do up that 17th-century ruined farmhouse - the mullions are still in place on the front windows...
Looking back into Yorkshire from the Lancashire border. Stoodley Pike monument just visible in the distance. (That's home!)
Since 2019 I've lived in east Clare, in the west of Ireland.

Didn't you find the pot of gold then Lesley?

I think the dark foliage adds a little extra to the composition too. Lovely contrasts.
The little robin was back this afternoon while I was working. He's discovered how to use the feeder. They're not daft are they?

Just been reading the "Horrible Little Fox" thread over in Problem Solving, so I thought I'd post a shot of a "Beautiful Little Fox"
Sheps...
A thing of beauty indeed Sheps.
Lovely detail again Sheps and I like the composition.
Nice shot of fox, Sheps.
Thanks everyone, pleased you like the shot

They're great, Fairy. I especially like the little lochan - very satisfying shapes & reflections.
