Thanks for posting pics Jonny. There was thick snow on Sulphur Mountain but lovely sunny weather down in Banff itself. Lots of Elk down by the river just wandering around.
The Elk are still hanging around but there is an increase in aggressive wolves.
Fairygirl,
I didn't notice Jack, just the beautiful flower beds.
Guernsey Donkey2,
Part of great Britain but not the UK. Yes that is strange. the Channel Islands must be a beautiful place to live. I stood with my dad on the shore of Dover, I think it was, watching the huge hover craft come in from France.
I am happy that you all are interested in my pics of where I live. I don't have an opportunity to show these ones much anymore.
So I showed you a bit of what it's like an hours drive west of me, now how about an hour east? Out onto the bald prairie and down into the badlands. From one extreme to another.
Just for a change of hemisphere, spring has sprung here.
the Viola tricolour will self seed anywhere. This is under my clothes line which I surfaced with gravel so that dropped clothes wouldn't get stained by dirt or grass.
Gorgeous photos Pat - making me hope winter comes and go quickly. Love the little violas
Love your photos Johnny. I missed your last ones as I went to bed! The contrasts are great. Do you do a bit of walking? It's what I love about my own country too, although we're on a smaller scale.
I learned just recently that the rock on some of our hills, is among the oldest in the world.
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
Hello Fairy. Thanks for you comments. I thought it might brighten your day.
interesting about the age of the rocks. I've read comments over the years that Australia has very old rocks, as well. Amazing to think of the science to be able to tell.
I had a look for your jigsaw, but couldn't find it, sometimes it takes 24 hours for them to appear.

Great photos. Particularly like the shots of the hotel. Did you catch Jack Nicholson when you were there Johnny?
Nice to have some views of a different country on this thread too. We have Pat in Australia, and Busy Lizzie in France, but most of us are in the UK

Yes great pictures Johnny. Spectacular views of the mountains and general scenery. Thanks for sharing with us.
We live in Great Britain but not part of the United Kingdom - strange isn't it?
