Would you have had frozen feet - I imagine that the water although refreshing would be cold - you paint such a lovely picture - sheer pleasure. Our sea water is at it's warmest now - in fact just starting to turn cooler for Autumn - I think it reached 17 or 18 degrees this year - one of the warmest on record.
Thank you chicky. It was a superb day. The views all the way along the loch and glen were stunning. The two corries are dark and brooding with their steep crags and tumbling falls. I know I always say the photos don't always do the views justice, but the best pictures of all are always the ones I carry in my head
The water was quite cool GD, but when your feet are hot after walking, it's very pleasant! I filled one of my water bottles higher up and it was lovely and refreshing. That sounds very warm for sea water - our air temperature was about that!
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
Great photos, Fairygirl. You write "the photos don't always do the views justice,.." but yours certainly make one feel as if one was actually there. Bravo!
We walked in Switzerland many years ago B.C. and enjoyed the mountains and views very much. It was exhilarating and refreshing and managed to get away from the tourists trails. The water was crystal clear and gushing down the streams - so pure.
Yes this is the time of year when the sea and air temperatures are more or less equal, so the best time of year to swim but the sun won't necessarily dry you off after your bathe.
You're rigth about the water GD. The stuff straight from a stream is probably far cleaner than most of the stuff people have to consume in cities!
Like your photos Bob. Nice shot of Schiehallion. I never see anything when I'm up it. Certainly didn't last May...and this was after it cleared up and I was back at the car...
I think the only problem with doing links is, that it's less immediate, if that makes sense.
Can you post some of your bird ones on here? I think everyone would love to see those. They're stunning
Fab, as always Sheps. Funny how we dislike things like flies, but insects of any kind are fascinating when you see them close up.

Great photos again Fairy - love the mirror lake especially

Great to see all the lovely shots being posted, loving your landscapes, Fairy.
Not posted for a while, so here is a Fly I photographed this aft.
Probably best viewed large.

Amazing detail on the legs and head, Sheps.
Loved yours too, Bob.
Thanks very much, Fairy and Liri
