What a nuisance, Flumpy, hope it comes back soon.

OH has plumbed in the washing machine. The socket that the builder left for it is dead, think he forgot to connect it. But there is one on the work surface so machine is now washing the sheets and towels we used in Eastbourne on our last visit. OH has also put up the curtain rail in the dining room. I've hung the curtains on it.

I've cut out the fabric for a curtain to hang over the alcove for a wardrobe.
    Waiting for sofas from IKEA.

It's a lovely sunny day 5°, but, strangely, it doesn't feel that cold outside. I have put weed killer on the brambles that had been cut down that are re-growing the other side of the patio wall. There is a bank with earth the other side of the wall, then a ditch then a bank with brambles and nettles, then the farmer's field. I am thinking I will plant bulbs and wildflowers, like primroses, on the earthy side.

I've met the young woman next door who is expecting a baby next week and the retired couple (liked them) who are buying the new house at the end of the drive.

I hope everyone is having a good day.

  • That sounds like a lovely day BL, and you're enjoying making plans - nice to have a range of different types of neighbours ... a real little community image

I am waiting for a parcel which is my hubbys Valentine present, paid extra for it to come today but it's not looking good, my house is slowly going dark as there's no electrics : ( and I can't have a cup of tea, you forget how much you need electrics don't you.

Afternoon everyone,  I go on off on Nanna Duty and the thread gets locked.  Are you all trying to tell me something?

Have read back but honestly can't remember who did what and when.  I know Busy has been very busy with her cottage and that Clari has been paidimage   The drought has finally ended in Cornwall and we have new and returning Forkers - welcome and good to see you back.

The weather is lovely today but much too tired to get out in the garden. Been checking the weather forecast and it looks like it is going to get colder over the next couple of weeks. Brrrrrrrr

Evening all - just been to cover the car as it's very chilly with a lovely clear, star filled sky image

Little roasting joint about to be served up so I'll have a wander here while I eat.

It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
