The Skinks haven't arrived yet, hence the relaxed pose, but ready in case they show up.

Morning all/afties Pat - looking forward to the skinks...maybe they won't show since they know we're waiting...image

flumpy - at least you're taking a positive view about work! Bit depressing when it gets like that though.

I'm heading out in a while  to Glen Douglas to walk - chilly and bright so looking good for some photos image

I'll have a look round to see what's what here, while I have a cuppa

It's not bad here flumpy, but  the wind on the tops makes the temps drop rapidly! Doesn't look too bad at the moment - layer of frost. It'll only be around minus five or so on the tops as the winds are low today. They're not big hills where I'm going. image

Hope you get something more suitable workwise soon image

  • Good morning all image  G'day Pat image

A bit late on parade this morning, but I've been out there hanging washing out, taking advantage of this gorgeous sunshine.

Topbird, the Greek theme for our meal is because our guest is veggie  - I wanted a meal that I could cook ahead as I'm not sure what time she's arriving; she's a pretty high-profile journalist and is giving a lecture at the UEA this afternoon,  when she does get here bottles will be uncorked and lots of nattering will be done.  I thought  Greek-ish food would fit the bill, and Spanakopita is also one of OH's favourites.  Pud will be warm figs with chestnut honey and Greek yoghurt.    It certainly seems to have encouraged the sun to shine too image

Morning all. Grey and cloudy. Friends coming to lunch tomorrow so I better do some food preparation and tidying. I clumped across the veranda in very muddy boots yesterday. Now floor needs washing.

Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
