    Good morning all, hi Patimage

DD I'm glad to hear that your friend has his Mum to look out for him for a while.  Enjoy your wine this afternoonimage

Rb, yes the decorating is just about finished.  We could do with taking slightly more off the door then I've just got to buy new bedside lamps.

Wonky I didn't roll on the floor but keep going in to walk on it bare-footedimage.  Pleased to hear that you are now able to have a lie in at the weekend but maybe that's why you were still awake and baking into the early hoursimageimage.

Pat it's crossword time again.  The clue is ' - nut, the seed of an Australian tree with small white flowers'.  9 letters ending with an A.  Any help gratefully received.image

  • Lesley - I'm no authority on Australian plants/trees, but could it be Macadamia?

Sorry Lesley. Have been watching Junior Bake Off and not thinking about the IPad.  Fascinating little bakers. Where do I know Allegra from?  Her face is familiar,

Id say Dove was spot on with the nut..image

Morning all, afternoon Pat, image slept like a babe and woke of my own accord, two days in a row, which is what we were explaining to the landlord and neighhbours, you SHOULD be able to do at the weekend, when there aren't 9people living above you! image don't mean to rub my slumber in Hosta, its just we have had 3 months of being woken, hope you get some z's and feel rested. image

Lesley, know what you mean, can't resist bare feet on new carpet! image

Just completed the family tradition of pottering about the garden in purple dressing gown. Mild here, is it right my camelea is blooming!? I was supposed to be pink but is a much nicer cream! I'll take a pic in a bit! Coffee calling!

Morning/afties all. Still wet here but not quite so windy, which is an improvement.

Your arrangement sounds just the ticket Lesley. Have you got a little bell to ring as well when you want something else? I can lend you my mum's!

it used to sit on her hall table and I always loved it as a child. I must get some Brasso and polish it image

DD - it's probably a good thing the activities aren't the other way round.....image image

Dove  - I have to agree re the setting of a clock. I rarely sleep through the day unless I'm really unwell, but it's hopeless if you sleep too long. I like to be in bed at a reasonable time and up at a reasonable time.

I feel for you Hosta - it's miserable when you can't sleep. When I was going through a difficult time, I became frightened to go to bed because of the endless hours of being awake. It's a vicious circle so I hope you can get a solution. x

It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
  • So glad your flat move is working out right for you eventually Wonky - I know how much you'll enjoy your garden this summer now that you can walk straight out of your door into the sunshine image

A cream camellia sounds enchanting image

Lyn, I've not tried anything yet. image

I'm not a fan of any medication unless I'm really , really poorly and, mercifully, not quite there yet.

It's not medication as such, you just buy it over the counter. If you just tried it for a couple of nights? It's better than that prescription drug!
