Pauline hugs you and your OH should be proud that you did your very best, my father had vascular dementia and IMO you are better off without your siblings, as they say you can pick your friends

It's when you have troubles that you know who your true friends are.  When OH was diagnosed with Alzheimers ten years ago some "friends" drifted off while the true ones are always there for us.

I have Pauline and have literature. We have an excellent GP and carers from Crossroads  It took a few months to get a foothold into the caring system but since then they have been great.

Thinking of Lyn, Pauline and Joyce. So much heartache but always hope with people like you in this world.

You never know what going to happen in the future. I have spent many years in gardening and that eases some of the pain and heartache that I experience on a daily basis. I lost my beautiful wife over 6 years ago due to a car accident.

I have never got over the fact that I did not have the chance to tell her how much I loved her. I know she knew that I did but to have the love of my life removed from my life without the chance to say good by devastated me and still does. I have read this particular blog and found others who have been in the same situation and their sadness shows in thier words.

I am fortunate to have two lovely daughters that miss their mom every day but have supported me in every way they can.

It's good that your daughters support you Steve but very hard not to have been able to say "Goodbye". Garden therapy is not to be underestimated as many of us have found.
