I gave OH the set of DVDs for his birthday... we watched the first ever episode a few days ago, the one with the wet celery and the egg whisk. Still makes me laugh even though I know what's coming.
Since 2019 I've lived in east Clare, in the west of Ireland.
Haha Dove! I do! Yes he was really but dull as dishwater! We have a French flower seller here that not only looks like René, but is a terrible flirt too!
Hello all - Topbird - absolutely adore the Chateau de Gateau!
Life a bit tense here, but I am working every night this week until 1:00 am and teaching everyday from 9:00 - 4:30 so I am not having to deal with it too much. Charlie is coming to English school with me (as a valuable resource) so I am seeing plenty of him and he is loving being the star pupil.
Have to start thinking about packing stuff up soon so that is going to be awkward but I am not leaving things I have taken years to amass and I know will never be used if I leave them here (baking tins and cookery gadgets etc).
Anyway must dash, loving all your French chatter.

DD glad you busy and have 'a plan' to move on. Start writing down things you want to take, it's amazing how one forgets. Good luck
Am having a few quiet days to recharge before another busy spell. Daughter and gd coming to stay for a week, she is so lonely in London (but does prefer it to Moscow.) little bump now showing and a worry that she can't plan where to deliver Sil is only over when hospital appointments require him to be I will then return with her to London to chum her to gd s appointment at Gt Ormond St

Morning DD, good that you are keeping busy and Charlie has your company it sounds like your really making progress! I remember leaving a relationship when I was 21 after his mother told me, "this is it! You may as well settle down! " he hadn't even come to my twenty first birthday street party as he had a headache! left a dear john note...that was his name! And took what I could carry, i know its no way near the same DD but i still miss those wharfdale speakers and my record collection, an extensive vintage coat collection, my doc martins! Don't forget to pack what makes you YOU!....does that include a few plants I wonder? x
Lilyp, glad your having a recharge! Hugs! Important to look after yourself when your propping everyone else up! best wishes to you and the family x

Wonky - do you remember our next door neighbour when we lived at The White House? Was he or was he not the spitting image of René???

Glad you're ok DD - keeping busy is sometimes the only way to get through difficult times.
Chin up.
Glad to hear you're ok DD. Smilies aren't working, so big smile to you!
Try and get a break too though. Quite right about taking stuff that's important.
Get the best suitcases too....winky face smiley
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
