  • That's a good one hogweed. The one that has brought me through the grim bits is "this too will pass".

Mm. Friend of mine was wont to say "Things are never so bad that they couldn't get worse". And he's often right. I've never found that helpful really.

Hello all, hope you don't mind me using this page but I'm simply too tired to bother with multiple PM's.

Just wanted to update (those who know) and inform (those who don't) about my absence from the forum this past week.

My aunt who was critically ill last week has pulled through following the second operation and is now out of ICU. Now that the immediate crisis is over, the family who were gathering in Manchester (expecting the worst) have started to return to their homes around the UK and abroad. I'm round the corner from the hospital so still bussing it up daily (sometimes twice) to the hospital.

We have a long road ahead but at least there is talk now of treatment and not just of keeping her pain free and comfortable.

Thanks again to those who sent kind words via pm (only just read notifications).

From a tired but positive Kitty x.
