Fantastic news DDimage. New house sounds perfect for you and Charlie .....a really exciting next step.  And the tearoom idea sounds inspired .....we love Bistros over here, so why shouldn't tea and cakes and chintz go down a storm over there.

    .....and a new garden tooimageimageimage

Some of us men, have been through it too!

Luckily, I seem to end up, finding the one woman who did understand me!

DD I can't think of a name for your new venture unless the name Betty ( as in tea rooms) is very different in French image

How about we re-hash the shabby chic thread we had ? Might be some great ideas on that thread for decor on the cheapimage

For décor on the cheap DD just needs to go to the local brocantes and vide greniers to pick up crockery, tablecloths and so on.

For names, both French and English speakers love puns so maybe something like "Taste Tea" or "Gout Thé", "Curiositea" or "Infinithé".  Sorry, but it's a start for others to bounce off.

I have a very good recipe for chocolate chip biscuits that the local Belgians consume with gusto and can offer cake recipes they love too.   Savoury muffins go down well too.

Sounds very like ours RB except for the music. If they played that I'd have to go out and sit on the wall and my mum would refuse point blank to go!!! We're all rock chicks in our family. image Better with nothing at all maybe.

I'm thinking when DD starts looking for staff she won't have far to go. image

Oh DD, I'm so pleased for you and Charli

    e. That really is great news. Good for Charlie that it's near his school, so he can still see his friends. Could be good for you too......all the mums popping in on the way back from dropping the children offimage
