Aym280 the last picture is Euonymus europaeus which was brought to me by a bird. In the middle of those four pink segments there is an orange berry! I will try to get a good picture when they open up a bit more. It is six feet tall now my shrub so will not be saving seeds but the birds or the wind might scatter some. Strangely the flowers themselves are little insignificant white ones, not at all showy but the seedheads make up for that.
Damp outside this morning but dry now and forecast is for mostly sunny here in Bristol though colder at max 12.
Good morning , damp outside this morning as well , hoping to take some plant pots in g//h today and sort out onions which I brought back from alottme yesterday
You too GWRS. Yes my onions are all over the house - ropes of them hanging in the kitchen window and nets tied to the conservatory door. great year for onions.
Aym 280 I used to have a cat who turned up his nose at catfood from a tin and would bring me the tailend of a rabbit to the back door as if to say "you cannot compete with this". I certainly cannot compete with the lovely plants the birds bring me including a superb pyracantha and my Euonymus europaeus.
Mentioning cat food reminded me of about 50 yrs ago there was a problem with tinned salmon and because my mom had cats and would feed strays she was given 100s tins of salmon , they dinned like Royalty for a long time

The nasturtiums in the second last pic are really striking Marion.
Aww glad you like them Joyce. I am busy scattering the seedheads all over the garden. We will see what i get next year.
Good evening , nice walk this morning , then a few hours at allotment
Hope alls well with you

Happy memories
Oh my goodness such lucky cats! Your mom must have been the flavour of the month for a long time!
Brilliant sunshine is making all the reds and pinks glow. The Rhus across the road is ablaze.
