Yes they are for the containers in the front garden including an old castiron wheelbarrow and a galvanised antique baby bath to make a spectacular display for the Bristol in Bloom judging in August, Marygold.  I find plug plants foolproof and cheap way to go.

I've not been on here for well over a week and the first thing I do is come and look at your photos Marion image how lovely all the colours are in your garden already image

i have a magnolia tree in my front garden which doesn't seem so happy this year. It's in flower but I can't smell it walking down the street like I normally can and there is about half as much flower on it compared to previous years. It's so lovely to look at though image one of my camellias is in flower in the back garden and the other isn't far off image

Good to hear from you fruitcake.  Bit of a scare this morning as it was only 3degrees but my pelargoniums were fine as the conservatory heater is still set to come on below 4 degrees.  Only 8 degrees max forecast for today and quite a bit of rain though it is dry and sunny at the moment.  Changeable is the word for the weather right now.

Morning Marion, blue sky here at the moment but I know it's not meant to last.

lovely pictures Marion and your friends Tulips look nice and healthy too.

The temperatures are very strange here to, I noticed it was 3c one morning then 9c the other morning, so I've kept my sweet peas in the greenhouse for now in case of frost.

my thumb is slowly healing with the butterfly stitches holding it together image.

hope the weather is better tomorrow Marion for you image

I think your big fat pink tulips could be my favourite pics of your garden at the moment - they are beautiful image

Only three degrees this morning but dry and sunny and forecast promises it will stay that way and reach 11 or so which augurs well for gardening outside.  I hade two large cakes yesterday which should take care of visitors; needs but must go shopping for milk.  As it is some time since I went shopping no doubt I will see some pretty sights in the front gardens on the way to the shops.

The plants took no notice of me chiding them to stay still this morning.  It is very blustery out there although sunny and warm.
