  • In my garden this lovely Sunday in September.  I had to do some harvesting as the birds are helping themselves.  The New imageimageimageimageimageimageimageEngland asters are running amok and will need dividing in the spring.

A good fruit crop Marion. My nerines are still in bud but when out yesterday, we passed house which had hundreds of nerines in bloom round three borders. . . . I have one potful.

Rain started this afternoon so no gardening done. . . . tennis instead. Gardening would have been more relaxing!!

    Aym280,

Sorry i just checked my phone, I've deleted the photo of the J Anemone, have to take some more tomorrow.image

That rose is lovely that you take cuttings of,good luck.image

  • Best way to get Japanese anemones is beg a division from a friend who has them in the spring.  They need dividing every two or three years and people soon run out of space for them.  i find chrysanthemums and asters give a good show now and of course dahlias are still in full bloom but this year, having grown 70 plugs of pelargoniums and 70 Begonia semperflorens i still have loads of blooms.  The bees and butterflies do not seem to mind they are exotic and drink their nectar where they can.

Today is the first in ages that is dull and drizzly but that will save on the watering chore!  Still very mild though.
