GWRS The title of my lecture is "Taxonomy " or "How to stop loathing Latin and learn to love it." Sounds sleep producing but as I was put on the stage at 12 by my mother as a stand-up comic it is full of smiles really. I have come to a standstill now as I went hammer and tongs at my tasks in the garden this morning. It was glorious in the sunshine. The squirrels are working just as hard as I am, dashing past me with half eaten apples in their mouths and the birds were pretending it was spring, singing very loudly. I have rescued another twenty plants from death by frost and one more mountain is toppling. Green wheeliebin packed so lining up containers of chopped up prunings again.
I did a lot of harvesting up the garden this afternoon. My bramleys are averaging 10 oz each this year. I must take my scissors up the butterfly garden tomorrow and pick myself a huge bunch of flowers. The wallflowers are blooming again and the agastache among others.
Aah, GWRS, I think saying "taxonomy" is one of the most satisfying words It seems to make the most use of your face muscles! Very chilly here in Bristol this morning but bright and dry so a good start to the gardening week. On Radio 4 this morning I caught a story from the medical profession that happiness is the best medicine so how lucky I am to get such joy from my garden!!!
Similar weather here Marion. ....long may it continue.
I agree re the joy of the garden as I would be lost without mine. My grass man will get the grass cut after lunch and will give me some help with moving some pots.

Good sized Bramleys Marion.
If the good weather continues, the flowers will keep blooming. It's lovely even to have a small posy from the garden.
