Dull this morning but dry and still warm so ideal gardening day.  I will try to clear the wall on the right of the wall window on the terrace of ivy today.  another mountain!  It will take weeks to clear it all.My bulbs from Secret Gardening Club came yesterday and they are a very good size so should all flower next year.  As they are tulips I will wait till November to plant them.  In pots for their first year.

Got half the ivy pared off the wall on the terrace but still a lot to do.  We had a sprinkling of rain but nothing much and none forecast till Saturday so watering is still on the cards since my summer pots are full of flowers still.  I expect another month at least of summer flowers despite it being the meteological start of autumn tomorrow.

Hi Marion, lovely flowers I have to say, they look so healthy.

ivy is so time consuming to get off the wall, our next door neighbor used to have it growing on our fence and it took me ages to pull it off our side, thankfully he dug it all out imageyay.

The weather here was heavy rain this am then glorious sunshine in the afternoon, hope it's nice at the weekend so I can carry on gardening image

  • Another lovely gardening day so it is a carry on ivy stripping day for me, Flumpy.  It is ruining my nails so I will cut them short and rely more on my Stanley knife.  We have been forecast some rain for the weekend.  Pity as it is the Bee and Pollination Week-end at the Botanic Garden.but we do need some rain.

  • One tenth of the terrace resurrected so far.  This wall was hidden by ivy two days ago.  I have found so far two golf balls lost these last forty  years when my late husband used to practice his putting n the garden.

Awe Marion that looks lovely, and it's lovely that you found your late hubbies golf balls, happy memories, I know what you mean about the Ivy Marion, it's sticky stuff and feels like it's glued to the wall, I'm excited for you, keep up the good work image
