How wonderful GWRS.  Nothing like horse manure for great crops.  It is still only zero degrees here so looks like it will be nearly noon before it is warm enough for me to work in the garden.  Good day for baking i think and i have a chicken carcass waiting to be made into soup.

I made three dozen spice buns and froze half of them.  It was such a  lovely day to be out in the garden and the forecast says a cold east wind is returning tomorrow so it will feel bitter again.  Glad you are a bit better flumpy.  Nearly the weekend.

A tad warmer in Bristol today at 2 degrees this morning but no sunshine.  The green wheeliebin gets emptied this morning so that will encourage me too get up among the brambles and hum along with the roofers who have started laying the tiles on my neighbour;s new garage..  That corner is now out of the wind and feels warmer.  It is quite exciting researching plants that prefer warm sheltered spots.

Great news to share with all my friends.  Nick Wray, the Curator of my beloved Bristol Univ. Botanic Garden has been awarded one of the highest honours of the RHS - the Rhs Associate of Honour Award for his distinguished service to horticulture.  His contribution to education was praised and I can second that as I remember with what pleasure I would go in the evenings for the fifteen lectures in the Garden to become a guide.  Well done, Nick and very much deserved.

Hi Marion and GWRS image, well it's been very busy in work today, I think the dry weather was bringing everyone out.

had to ring the council yesterday as they did not empty my garden bin, they told me that the wagon had broke down and was going to come today mmmmm I thought as this is not the first time it's happened, anyway I got home and yep it's still full so I will be giving them an ear full on Monday yet again!.

had a lovely surprise when I got home

Three degrees here so a bit milder this morning.  Cold east wind forecast but not here yet.  Luckily I have gardening gloves that can fit inside one another so two pairs keep my hands warm.  A big bowl of porridge with cinnamon sprinkled on top takes care of the inside in the winter too.  Actually I find sitting at the computer indoors is much colder than being outside gardening.  I hope you are pleased with the result after the hairdressers flumpy.  I am toying with the idea of pruning my long hair for convenience in the garden in the spring or at least tying it back but I always do it myself - saves time and money.
