Oh thank you, Lovegardens.  Yes i am very fortunate to have such a wonderful garden.  Before we bought it the former owner was an army major who had a full-time gardener who did the housekeeper's who lived in in those days bidding, so I inherited  miles of very straight concrete paths, huge beds of strawberries and herbs and beds full of roses with very old fruit trees and a few conifers.  I have spent many a happy hour in the last 52 years disguising the edges of the paths, getting rid of lawns and long grass and growing veg and fruit and hundreds of beautiful flowers.  I often wonder what they would have thought of my potager and slate scree, my marvellous trees, my bulbs, perennials, and the Butterfly Garden full of thousands of snowdrops in the winter and bees and butterflies in the summer.

Dinner tonight included home grown asrapgus , radish , spring onions and the first ruhbard of the year with custard as a desert

The retired Army Major would have wanted everything regermented , everybody to the own , that what I like about gardening we can all be different

Looks like a fine day for gardening today in Bristol.  One of my friends is going to Chelsea on Wednesday so should hear all about it.  It is also my open day so all systems go till then.  I will be pruning and planting non stop today and scrubbing tables and chairs tomorrow.

Forecast is for cloudy but dry and 13 degrees with no wind Joyce.  Could be worse.  At least no rain.
