A bright crisp sunny morning though only 2degrees. !0 max today by our forecast which will feel cold after the 16 or even 17 we have been having in Bristol.  Looking out the window I can see lots of birds flying around so they look like they are looking for food to keep warm.

I have a golden driveway courtesy of next door's lime tree.  The Euonymue europaeus is showing its bright orange berries in its pink fruits, the sun is brilliant and causing the colours to shine.  What a day!

Brrrr. the grass is white in Bristol this morning.  I will wait a bit before I go out cutting up prunings and wear woollen fingerless gloves under my gardening gloves.  If i cannot use the secateurs thus garbed I will use my loppers.  Two handed I should be able to manage!  My thermal socks I was given last Xmas have never been out of their packing but they are on standby now.

How blessed am I!  The neighbours' son came over complete with his own green wheeliebin and stuffed it with my prunings.  I had to discourage him from putting any of the bamboo on his bonfire as it spits but he took the other wood and i told him the hawthorn was the hottest wood you could burn having learned that myself off the TV yesterday!  What a difference he has made - I can see lots of my paths and the shady patio and feel very motivated now.  And the sun is shining!!!

You too GWRS.  Must be cold in Tenby.  I think some rain is on the way, certainly winds.  That will blow the leaves about somewhat!

Very wet garden this morning and still raining.  It was sorely needed however.  But damp leaves everywhere and it feels so cold even in the house with the gas fire on.  Forecast is for brighter in the afternoon so may get out in the garden then for a few short hours.

Has been nice and sunny but temperatures have dropped from double to single figures
