My goodness we had some very heavy showers yesterday with a river running down the lane at one point This morning's forecast is fine and dry but rain returning in afternoon so early work is called for. Still no watering will be needed! I believe the beginning of the week is suopposed to be offeing better weather for gardening..
Good morning , lots of rain yesterday evening , nice and sunny at moment , forecast to rain again this evening , going to pop up to allotment this morning for a couple of hours , then sort out plants I bought at garden centre
Started drizzling before lunch and has just continued. Feeling rather cold too so gave up for today. Picked lots of strawberries and broad beans and need to start harvesting the early potatoes which are flowering. Getting there gradually in the front garden. I will feed the flowering plants their first feed next week to keep them flowering.
Flumpy , sorry to tell you but other half picked 6-5 lb of strawberrys this morning from allotment and turned most of it into jam and picked lots last week just to eat
I am sure you'll soon be picking them
Can't help with pictures , I use an iPad and it is so easy , good job really never very good with computers
Welcome home Flumpy. I hope you had a lovely holiday and all is well in the garden. You will have strawberries when all of mine have been eaten or frozen though "Buddy" strawberries crop till October and I have some of those. Cheddar where loads of strawberries are grown is only a few miles from where I live. They have loved the hot wet weather. As for getting your pictures off your camera There must be a menu that tells you how to do it once you have connected to your tablet. I simply put mine on to my laptop by connecting the camera to a USB on the laptop, then clicking photos on the opening page. It is all done automatically then and the files come across from the camera and you select the ones you want .Do you still have the booklet that came with your camera. It should tell you how to do it. We had a lot of rain today so now have a duckpond outside the kitchen.
Hi Marion Loving all the pics of your flowers hope you do well in Bristol in bloom, I am in north dorset so not far from you but still nowhere near as advanced, having said that we are on top of a hill and quite exposed to the elements.
forgot to say, yes we had a lovely holiday, menorca is very pretty isn't it and unspoilt, I definitely want to go back, everyone is so friendly and I felt so safe too, we went for a few walks to the old 17th century watch towers, if I get the photos on the tablets you will be able to see them, we also went to Mahon on market day where I bought my dad a real leather belt and my mum some jewellery, it was very hot 31c we where melting, I loved all the little street cafes we sat and had a nice cold drink whilst people watching , Ho I wish I was there now.
the hotel was lovely and the rooms where contemporary and spotless, it had a nice long balcony, to the right we could see the sea nd palm trees and to left was the countryside, the food was good and a good veriety and cakes to die for , but as we walked a lot I've not put any weight on thank goodness
