Morning all , cold and windy in the NW, I got soaked and blown around just walking from work to my car last night , well no work for five days now whoope.
off to my in laws today and Christmas dinner at my parents tomorro, I'm so excited, my favourite bit is when we sit round the tree and give presents to each other .
your cakes sound yummy mmmm, mine is from Tesco this year, but I'm gonna have ago next year
Same to you. Joyce. I do so much enjoy your comments. I have been out in the garden as it is 10 degrees here in Bristol today and quite calm. I planted the last of my tulips and potted on some pot bound alpines.
Mild here too but, after a visit from storm Barbara yesterday, every where is sodden.
I need a week of mild dry weather to get the garden clear of the remaining leaves so that I can see all the emerging bulbs and the spring growth to follow.
Marion. I don't often post but I read your thread often. you are truly inspirational, thank you for the regular posts and all your expertise. what is your theme to be next year?
Merry Christmas from all us "novice" gardeners???
by the way. It is to be an unbelievable 15 in Aberdeen for Christmas! What that all about?

Iris recticulata are up.Joyce.
I have iris reticulata "Joyce" in a pot but the buds are just forming. I buy new every year as I've never been successful with them coming again.
This year I copied Busy Lizzie and have a trough full of Bellis in full flower by the front door.
Lovely flowers Marion
Merry Christmas Aym280, hope you have a lovely day and all the best for the New Year
