Either ballerina or Princess Irene, Marygold.  These came from my friend who labels everything but they disappeared.  It has been so wet today i got nothing done outside but the forecast for tomorrow is good.

I think I got mine as "free" bulbs from GW with Queen of the Night and Purple Prince.

Hi Marion and Marygold.  I think the tulips are Prinses Irene.  Ballerina are flared at the top.  I grew both this year. Lovely photos.

A beautiful tree peony Marion.  My freesias wont be in flower for a while yet.  Love the scent and the colours.

Glad you are home safely GWRS and reinvigorated after your Tenby holiday.  I am well Thank You and looking forward to being able to get a load of weeding done today as the forecast is good though warm at 22 degrees. We had rain through the night and a great deal yesterday so weeding should be easy.  I think you are right about the Princess Irene tulips Yviestevie - the one on the cover of the book "Bulb" by  Anna Pavord I have looks very much like them.  The foliage of tree peonies is a favourite of mine, Joyce.

I had to go to the shops this morning and could not ignore the lovely plant display at our flower shop.  As I spent £20 I had free delivery,  The large heucherella is "Sweet Tea" and has flowers on, the Strawberry mint plant smells delicious, three gazanias, three white nemesias and three pink nemesias completed my shopping.  Here they are waiting to go into the cold frame at night till the weekend cold snap is over.

Feels freimagesher this morning but sun is out and another splendid day for gardening forecast.  The London Pride and quaking grass have started t flower which is so lovely to see the airy fairy flowers after the solidness of the spring tulips and hyacinths.  The forget me nots go with them both.  This yearimage there have been lots of pink ones which. as they are all self sets must be something to do with the acidity of the rain falling on my garden as they did not have any different treatment from former years. But knowing how they spread themselves perhaps one of my neighbours has bought a packet of pink seeds!

The new format is doing odd things .  It decides where to put the pictures in the text!
