Just saw the results show. Thank goodness for that. He held the whole show up last night talking in slow motion!

The U2 song did nothing for that Paso! (I'm not a fan of U2 but I do sing that one a lot in the garden!).

Hi all...great to read all these posts about Strictly...Thank god DOD is gone.

Jeremy and Carol should be next I reckon...but in the early weeks its all about popularity not dance ability...the duffers are kept for the entertainment value.

Yes "the pirate" outfit was ridiculous, tho I like PA, he may have peaked a little too early.

Sorry I missed the hand on the bum incident...I've deleted the recording...grrr.

I'm looking forward to the weeks ahead...might check out gardening queries too!

  • Thought it was a great show this week-end and probably right that DOD went, bless him, can he really be a s nice as he seems, does he talk so slowly because he is checking he saying the right thing, just can't make my mind up about him. image

I think maybe Carol next and although Jeremy is not brilliant I like that he tries so hard and is not afraid of looking silly. Shame he has such long limbs, he just looks odd even before he moves.image

Great show though, very entertaining and certainly get a conversation going. image

There where a few who didn't do that well this week

Jeremy no expert dancer , won't win does strangely entertain and after all it is an entertainment show image

I'm amazed DOD is gone.    I thought the Irish would be voting for him in droves.

That Paso to U2 was dreadful.   Carol's was much better because the music was proper Paso which needs the musical phrasing to be right for all the stamping and marching and arm waving.   Needs to sort out her hands though.   My daughter finds her constant smiling very irritating.

I know the salsa is danced as a show dance but I didn't see any basic steps or armography in Alyash's choreography.   Thought Anita was amazing again and under marked.

Loved the classic, elegant, understated slowfox from Kevin and thank goodness Anton went for some more demanding choreography for his very capable partner.    Pity Jay messed up but he did have a very complicated routine so hope he bounces back next week.

The Irish can't vote on a UK programme.

some nip over the border and vote , anyway we are Irish here in Northern Ireland so we can vote , the Scottish busloads that come to his shows mustn't watch Strictly image

You might say that.... As a British subject I'll step out of this before it descends into a political debate.

I happened to be in Donegal when the line up was announced.  Lots of excitement on the radio and in the papers about DOD and a mix of promises and exhortations to cross the border and vote and get all friends and rellies in the north to vote for DOD and keep him there to the end.
