Dove Jonni explained his posture because he does not have ankle movement comes from the hips some dances in hold are very hard for him, Bruno said his bottom was sticking out, of course it was otherwise he would not be moving. Having danced many times at Blackpool and when only one dancer is on the floor the movement is very slight, I have danced on spring floors that were more like trampolines. Saturday could be his last dance though not for want of trying, Susan and Gemma could be there at the bottom too.
I'm aware of the reason for the posture difficulty he has ... I worked in the field of disability for a long while.
What you say about sprung floors when only one couple is on the floor is interesting ... of course my only experiences of dancing on a good sprung floor have been in a crowded ballroom
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
Dove, Darlington Co-op had a large dance hall, I did a couple of demonstration dances there as a young golly, no problem until I got back on with the crowd for a quickstep and thought I was going to be sea sick. My partner said it is a sprung floor did you not know? well the answer was never heard of them so why make them springy? she had no answer so I still do not know. Having danced on many an unsprung floor it still has me puzzled. Blackpool has a Magic about it something I knew from the very first time dancing there, that floor never fazed me probably because I was over awed by the venue. Watching the Strictly floor being laid down on TV apart from a cushion layer under the floor I do not think it a proper sprung floor or is it.
When I was in my teens my boyfriend was a bit older than me and loved a quickstep and a jive and taught me quite well (not competition stuff, but I was told I was a more than passable dancer and certainly didn't lack for partners if my boyfriend was at the bar) ...The Tower Ballroom at Gt Yarmouth had a properly sprung floor ... the bounce there certainly caught me unawares the first time ... up until then I was used to village hall dances.
I've a memory that the Samson and Hercules nightclub in Norwich also had a sprung floor, but I may be wrong about that ... the dance floor was built over a swimming pool so it may have had bounce without being 'sprung' if you get my meaning

Dove the swimming pool may have had a wave machine.
Had some good family holidays at Great Yarmouth, the children put our names down for a dance competition without telling us, the first we knew was them calling our names out. We won the Viennese Waltz and quickstep, I said thats enough and sat down, they persuaded us to get back up for the foxtrot which we won, decided it was vey unfair and sat the rest out. We did dance again when it was over plus other nights often asked to change partners with people eager to learn so even in the dance round the handbag days the interest was there. My sixteen year old Grandson here Sunday mentioned he had now been dancing for five years, the video's show he is definitely wearing my old dance shoes only better.

Hello all , been away so missed the show , looking foreword to Saturday’s show
Just seen who went out and read back postings
Good evening , are we all watching
All the dancers seem to add a bit of a 'show dance' to their routines in the Blackpool week - some more successfully than others.
I have voted on the website as you can have three votes so can put a cheeeky "my favourite" in - even if they were not the best.
Rather strange voting again.
Don't think Debbie deserved 9s .........still think they are angling for her to be in the final.
Hoping Davood improves week by week.
Overall enjoyed the show
I think it will be interesting who is in the Dance off !
I liked Gemma and Davood tonight.
