47890570937,47890570938,47890570939...... Those are great. Please stop now with the loveliness or you could send me some if you like. I have a big warm wet bed just begging for them. I'm saying that because that's were peachy boringness lives/thrives. I take it that's what they like.
plant pauper I should have some divisions in the spring haven't decided which yet, I won't have time to do any more this autumn I've just swapped quite a few with a couple of friends and really need to get on with those, like to give them a good 6 weeks to settle again before any really bad frosts, but watch this space early April and I'll list what I have , they'll grow in any soil they aren't fussy so your patch would be great
Now I know I'll have some Frans Hals in the spring Lorna
Thanks Hostafan Windmill is also one that can be split in spring it is one that always takes a year to settle before flowering again so I have two clumps and alternate the splitting
Some more brights today then
Carrick Wildon, 8inch flowers on this one.
Big Bird, the yellow one, 10inch flowers on this, the only one of all my daylilies my OH ever comments on, he even remembers the name
Chili Spice
And sorry for mentioning the C word so early but this is called 'Christmas Is'
Thanks Kathy, great colours again today, lover them all, Chili Spice looks great, the Christmas one is lovely as well, it's not to early for me with the C word, I've already started making Christmas cards.
Thanks Lorna ,you make cards too !! fancy that so do I, I'm cross stiching the ones for family this year, something to do the dark nights, I've done 3 so far well the cross stitch not made into cards yet been busy making cards for a friends daughters baby shower 27 of them in the shape of a baby-grow I'll be counting them in my sleep tonight lol , love to see some of yours when they re done
Well it's nice to meet another crafter, I also make jewellery, do scrapbook pages, flower arranging, I've tried cross stitch and have about two small kit's here for over a year and still haven't got round to doing it, I would say i'm very much a newbie when it comes to cross stitch, I'm also trying knitting, crochet, I have my finger's in so many pot's just not enough time to do them all.
My husband say's i'm my own worse critic, I always think my cards aren't all that but he says they are fine and to stop worrying, but I can't help it. I did just make a anniversary card for my in-laws anniversary, it's not my usual type of card but my husband found the image funny and he said that would make the laugh so I did. Not sure where I can post a image for you to see it.
wow 27 baby-grow cards, bet that is keeping you busy would love to see them when they are done. would love to see you cross stitch aswell, I did go to a card class and one day the lady was doing cross stitch on cards, she showed us hoe to start off and to do the cross stitch but none of the other stitches and never came back to show us how to finish.
I've always fancied scrapbooking so many pictures of our girls when they were little it'd be nice to get them in some albums, youngest bought me a cuttlebug which would come in useful for scrapbooking all the lovely dies you can get for it, do you have one Lorna?
I'm just as critical of mine too although everyone always seem to like them, my sister even framed one of my cross stitch ones
Mmmm wonder if there's a members hobbies thread if not I can always send you my email address.
My cross stitch cards I do on Aida then mount in a tri-fold card with a circle or square cut out, or cut my own, then decorate the card.
I knit and crochet prefer crochet though, grows quicker
Those day lilies are gorgeous, all I have are the plain washed out orange ones, and am digging them out along with the Crocosmia and Montbretia.
I always have knitting on the go, must do something can never just sit still, I have been through several crafts in the past, a most enjoyable one was Corn Dollies, and dolls made from Corn on cob husks.
Gardening on the wild, windy west side of Dartmoor.
