Thanks Hosta this is one I've often seen for sale in Garden Centres its quite a tall one at 36inch with large 7inch flowers it rebloomed here this year as wellimage

  • Love the Wild Horses blooms.  I think the name fits the flower.

Just come in from cleaning some of the hemerocalles clumps of dead leaves.  Still got a few in flower with gentle perfume on the air.  The area has got overgrown with Gaura and Verbeba Bonariensis so have been pulling great clumps of them up too.  I left them for the bees in the summer but they have taken over, so they have got to go.

You've certainly  got some lovely plants Kathy so thank you for sharing them with us.

Sounds like you and Rob are very busy, I hope you get done what you need to before the weather turns really bad.

Kathy those Wild Horses are gorgeous.

Elizabeth you sound like you are very busy.

Thanks Elizabeth, that one only cost me £1 a daylily seller who was closing his business sold all his daylilies for £1 each I was a bit wary as had had lots of wrong ones from him before but at £1 each thought it was worth the risk think out of 10 I got 4 right ones a couple I was able to identify and the rest unknown, this one sells for more than all of them, verbena can be a pain here too but this year I left the seedlings for a while as I grow verbena hastata too and wanted some more plants, when they're young they all look very similar, all tidied now though image

Thanks Lorna, been mild but wet here this week so the weeds are still growing, made a start on my Christmas cards image

Now the next one I bought many years ago the first couple of years it was very unimpressive but I'd read the colour intensifies as it matures.

First couple of years it looked like this.

The third year!, you can see how it gets its name of 'Fushcia Fashion'
