beautiful photos , lovely flowers . Do't suppose they would grow in window boxes ?

The darks do stand out don't they Hosta image

Thankyou arneilimage, I've never grown them in window boxes but the mini flowered varieties do do well in large pots,so depends how deep your window box is, the roots of the bigger ones get so large they won't even flower in a pot and need to be in the ground.

A couple more of my seedlings

    Thanks arneil image

Oh it's very hard Hosta especially as they take 2-3 years of flowering to show their full potential, as you can imagine you can soon run our of space, there are always  quite a few muddy pinks so they're composted, and weirdly I've found a lot of crosses have one random yellow seedling so they can go straight away , any that look alike I pick the best.I belong to another garden chat site and last year I sent a lot to friends on there, they were happy to pay for postage, I wouldnt normally ask  but I sent 11 or 12 boxes so it would have been very expensive, Hermes are very reasonable and I fitted 11 double fans in a box for less than £6, they don't weigh much when the roots are washed and dried out a bit. Still going through pictures trying to decide which can go next spring as I have well over 50 plants in pots from this year waiting to go in the ground!

Sorry not been about Kathy, it's been hectic here. Oh can't wait to see what your Dahlias look like next year. Can't believe you still had Daylilies flowering in November last year, it really must of been a very good year. Enchanted Rainbow has a very nice colour on it. Well what can I say about the Yabba Dabba Doo one, love the colour it is beautiful but the name is absolutely fantastic, I love it.  Steely Blue Eyes is another beauty.

Your seedlings Bob's Baby x Trifecta are stunning, you have real beauties, you must be really happy them, the look and the colour are just beautiful.

Oh Kathy I want your Persiflage x Nefertari, this is gorgeous, oh I wish I could buy this one, I am so jealous, you are very lucky to have all these stunning plants. Love the darkness on Crescent Jump x String Theory. The yellow ones are very nice Kathy, like the different shapes on them and the the different patterns, Your making me like these plants more and more with all the different shapes, shades and patterns.

Oh no Kathy I've just read you put some of these in the compost bin, I'm sure some of us would be your compost bin.image , I bet it is a lot of work for you though, with dividing, sowing seeds, potting up, with how many you have I bet it is like having a full time job. But you do get beauties at the end of it.xx
